ART of RELEASING
Unlock your True Self
Want to feel free?
Learn to let go of what’s holding you back.
Whether you’re an artist, student, athlete, or professional, you deserve to feel your best. The Alexander Technique (AT) and Releasing are two complementary modalities that can help you recover from chronic pain or injury, overcome unhelpful habits, improve your performance, and align with your deepest potential.
What is AT?
The Alexander Technique or “AT” is a method of kinesthetic learning and re-education that enables us to move and breathe during any selected activity with efficiency and energetic coherence. Typically, with the assistance of a trained and certified Alexander technique teacher, clients will learn to use tools to consciously release, re-organize, and redirect chronic patterns of neuromuscular tension that have become a habitual part of their postural support, movement, breathing, activity and interactions in the world. Everyone who studies AT will also learn breathing exercises to re-educate the respiratory process and how it relates to posture and movement.
Sessions are available online or in person.
What is Releasing?
Releasing is a somatic and emotion-based technique that enables us to radically accept the present moment and be/feel free within it. Once we learn the basic tools of releasing, choosing to let go of stuck mental or emotional patterns gets easier. It is a technique that can be done alone, in a group, or with the assistance of a coach online or in-person. When we are free, we trust life and are open to our deepest intuition and highest possibilities. Sessions are available online or in person.
What is the ART© Method?
Alexander technique and Releasing Together or ART© is a powerful, somatically-grounded fusion of techniques that is guided by intuition of the practitioner and the client. Developed by Dr. Kristin Mozeiko, ART© creatively integrates the conceptual and somatic principles of the Alexander technique with the skillful release of emotions, thoughts and sensations that may arise during the process. It is highly recommended that clients interested in the ART© method start with prior experience in either the Alexander Technique, Releasing or other closely related mind-body work. Sessions are available online or in person.

“Kristin has been an amazing teacher. She’s qualified, knowledgeable, and incredibly in tune with what I always need. As an actress, working with Kristin on the Alexander Technique has been the most valuable experience. She always listens to anything I mention I’d like to work on, but as an expert she always has ideas that are perfect for me. She is flexible and understanding, and is able to personalize our lessons—even for problems I didn’t know I had! Whether it’s breath and voice work for performance, or just everyday needs such as walking, Kristin has been able to support me in creating the best, most easeful version of myself.”

“Kristin Mozeiko is a highly skilled and compassionate Alexander Technique teacher who embodies the work through her teaching practice. She brings a great deal of vulnerable empathy and welcomes any student to experience and discover what the AT work is for them.
Her teaching work is dynamic and beautifully tailored and rooted in 21st Century Equity, Diversity and Inclusion practices. She has impacted my acting in such a subtle but profound way, that I now carry a greater confidence in my skill and precision on stage. Most importantly, she has helped me consciously shift my daily routine and habits and there has been a dramatic change in the energy of my emotions, thoughts, and body to help live my life with greater appreciation and joy.
I highly recommend Kristin for anyone looking to find a deeper connection with their body. Her work is largely drawn from empirically based science, has become a craft with her years of experience, and moves into the realm of an art when she works with you individually, listening to what your body tells her you need on a moment-by-moment basis. The mystery and genius of her work is that she helps you discover the guide and teacher within you.”
— Henry Austin Shikongo, Actor, Director & Teacher
“Kristin is a uniquely gifted teacher. She is highly knowledgeable, explains concepts well and patiently, and is ready with resources for further learning. At the same time, she is perceptive, intuitive, and compassionate. I’d studied Alexander Technique with several other teachers previously—Kristin stands out as a master of the technique. Working with her over a number of years, I learned better ways of using my body in everyday life that are invaluable in a job that requires long hours at the computer. The result has been greater awareness, better habits, and reduced pain. My work with her also spanned a period that was particularly difficult emotionally. In weekly lessons Kristin’s intelligent, intuitive, and gentle hands-on work helped me stay connected, breathe, and quiet my mind as well as my body.”
